One danger is not remembering history and appreciating the sacrifices of our brave men and women in our Armed Forces. If the new administration has given any indication of its attitude toward our veterans, Obama skipped the American Legion's ball which honors the Medal of Honor veterans. This is the first time in 50 years that an incoming President has blown off these veterans.
But you can remember these veterans. A friend of mine, Brad, sent me a link to a P-51 pilot united with his aircraft of over 60 years ago. At the end, Brad points out that you can see a formation of P51's flying in a "51" formation.
Of particular interest was the description of the pilot, Jim Brooks, and his last moments on the ground with his crew chief - neither knowing whether he would be coming back that day.

The rival editors are turning out weeklies that are smaller, more serious, more opinionated and, though they are loath to admit it, more liberal. They are pursuing a more elite audience, in print and on the Web, abandoning the old Henry Luce notion of catering to the masses. It is nothing less than a survival strategy.
